Mystic Child sounds like every classic rock riff balled into one song...the recording sounds boomy on my stereo. Good bar music

They are boomy, I could have eq'dthem better. But I figure most people listen on little computer speakers so it works out better to have it a little boomy.

boomy not good

work on your mixing

the vocals could use some rev/delay since the intonnation isn't great, maybe even doubling the line would help with the pitch problems

the bass....boomy is never good, eq cut a and dip until it comes into focus

the drums need to be remixed , the high hat is wispy and in front, pull that down and get the snare up, make sur you are not introducing more boom on the drums

I the guitar needs to be up in the mix, those harmonic squelches need to be owned

Thanks for the info on mixing. This was a live recording in our practice space so I can't mess with the mix more then EQing in general. Thanks for the input though. We are going into the studio soon to get our cd started.

Thanks again,
L.A. Moore

Smile

Re-uploaded the songs with a flat EQ. Your hearing it the way it was recorded. Added the lyrics to 14. I'll add the lyrics to the other ones as soon as I type them out.

I got another question, what genre would YOU classify us as?

Thanks again,
L.A. Moore

I think the songs are pretty good, but you could be playing them tighter - lock in with the kick drum, and have the guitarist practice with a click.
Otherwise, good stuff!
