How do you all like My song in C!?

Hello,

I'm new here at TB, after been away for around 4 year of playing bass I decided to buy a bunch of gear and started to play again and this is my first recording, it started as a warming up exercise but I added a few more notes and put some drums and keys and here you go, I'm learning the whole recording process so any suggestion are welcome.

My Song in C

Thanks!

It certainly sounds like an etude, but definitely an enjoyable one.

- The drum part sounds stilted and unnatural, but I'm guessing you aren't a drummer so that's alright, they're an extremely difficult instrument to write for even if you do play them. Your part is hardly awful, it could just be much more natural is all.

- The middle sections aren't strongly related to the main theme, which keeps the piece from sounding unified. The harmonic relationships work, but having something rhythmic or melodic to tie the form together would be good.

Keep up the good work, your playing sounds solid. How long have you been playing?
