Tool is truly a strange rock band. I love Maynard´s voice, and really enjoy Chancellor´s tone with the bass. The drummer is also awesome (although my favourite one is Mike Portnoy), but something is wrong with their songs. They seem to have an idea (for example, the excellent bass riffs on Schism or Forty Six & 2) and use it to death all thru the song, changing it slightly. Their songs become
at the end. Also, that strange atmosphere that surrounds their songs and videos end up being boring too. They are an original band, but too repetitive IMO.
