I can honestly say that this is the best bass solo I've yet heard. I think I'm going to sell all of my gear off.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of Wooten and think he's one of the best out there but sometimes I do feel he overuses the million-note-a-minute double thumping technique. Granted, he didn't do much of it in this solo.
I guess for me it just gets old after awhile, kind of like watching Yngwie Malmsteen fly through one sweep-picked harmonic minor run after another. It only holds my fascination for so long. |

Just because you can do a thing doesn't mean you should put it in your music.
Otherwise it was awesome. I love that he puts his phrases together so musically. |
