Hey, I just put some songs up on soundclick, and I was wondering what your opinions were. I recorded these with cakewalk and fruityloops. The coolest bass playing is probably on Velvet iron Reprise, the grooviest one is Eminent Sounds, and for Hand around your throat, I played 5 guitar tracks, two with picks, three with dimes. It just gets insane towards the end. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Awe, c'mon, is anyone gonna listen to these? It doesn't take long, and it's unique music you've never heard before. Broaden your horizons? eh? eh?

like it!

Hey MikeMike,

Like Eminent Sounds a lot! Can I ask is that you on vox?

This is precisely why I bought my first bass just a few days ago - so I can incorporate it into music i make on my pc with cubase.

Can I ask about your set up as theres a few things I'm not sure about....

How do you record your bass? mic or di box into soundcard?

Also do you play the bass throughout the track or sample and make it fit etc, play loops etc?

I'd really love to know - this is what I'm trying to get into!

Thanks and good work!

Yeah, I sang on all of them. I used an mtd kingston through a zoom 607 and an aphex bass exciter as a di. I made the drum tracks first, and then recorded the bass pretty much straight through the song. I used multiple basses on all except eminent sounds.
