I just completed scoring a play for Fringe Festival.
A few weeks ago I was commissioned to work on a soundtrack for a play, which will debut in New Orleans Fringe Festival in a few weeks. I was given four extremely rough demo songs, and I was asked to completely rework and re-imagine them - performance, arrangement, sound design, production, mixing, everything. I only had 6 weeks to complete the whole thing, which I was squeezing in between my work schedule (fixing guitars) and gigging. Even though I've never recorded anybody else's work, and certainly never had to work on a deadline before, I think this came out pretty damn well, even if I do say so myself.
I've uploaded a handful of instrumental samples from the soundtrack to Soundcloud, and have shared them on my Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/UFODeathCult). I'd really appreciate a listen, a Like, and/or a share. If you're in the New Orleans area, the play is scheduled to be performed at the Fringe Fest November 20th, and should be performed several more times in the NOLA area as far as I know. If you'd like to hear the whole thing (along with the live performed vocals), come check it out.
