I've been listening to the same stuff for too long now. As far as Jazz and Funk go, I've been pretty limited in my options.
So now I need some new stuff. New Jazz, new Funk, and anything else that doesn't suck. My only conditions:
For the Funk--I don't like that "intergalactic" funk. Like the REALLY weird stuff that has 20 people doing weird voices and singing about Funkenstein's Cosmic Dog or some weird sh** like that. If you suggest some funk, please make it somewhat aproachable for the inexperienced listener, like Funk/Rock type stuff.
For the Jazz--It just has to be good. Preferably with a kickass bass player, and NOT "smooth". Don't care if it's modern, classic, fusion, just as long as it's good, I have a pretty open mind for Jazz I just don't know of any good artists.
And the final thing, they should be at least SOMEWHAT easy to find.
