There was a group of European ladies out in the parking lot at my gig last night who were grooving to that song blaring out of someone's car stereo. Lots of "WOOOO!"s and such. First time I'd ever heard it. Catchy is right. Now I'm going to have to go and listen to "The Name Game" to get that song out of my head before I go to sleep...

Hmph. Instantly forgetable.

I guess I've been out of the loop - when did boy bands appropriate the emo look?

By the way, if you want catchy pop that's actually good, check out The Cardigans. They've quietly become one of the best pop bands on the planet over the past 10 years or so.

Personally I hate infectious pop (in case you hadn't guessed).

I read about a study in the paper yesterday that said people are attracted to choral-type music, and it will stay playin' in their head. Something about the stone age or something. Ill try to find it.

Right now im tottally listening to Bongripper tho

haha Oh I caught on to it.
I normally can't stand this type of music. But my brother and sister are both 13, turning 14. So this is what I hear a lot.

And I heard this song and I loved it.

Not sure why, but after studying jazz for 2 years, pop music seems very appealing.

I can't wait until the emo vocal style goes out of style. Because, honestly, that wasn't a horrible pop song, not something I have any interesting in acquiring, but if it came on the radio and Emo Phillips wasn't singing it, I wouldn't want to blow my brains out.

Saddest part is that this exact song was free on iTunes, I downloaded it at number 9000ish, and overnight it was at 2 million and was a dollar. Priceless.
