Hi,

I've been doing some compositional things as of late and would like to know what you think. I thought of the opening melody and chords one day while walking to class. The rest is what followed when I sat down with the bass. I think it'd sound great on a piano, to start. Then move the melody to bass.

What do you think?

Yo, glossy.

Yeah, man, sounds great. Very well written. The form of it is solid and the harmony is very interesting. I know how much you love those b6maj7 chords!

The only gripe I have is that the melody at the end is not totally satisfying. You gave yourself an awesome theme, now try to resolve it to the root (perfect authentic) on the final cadence. The major 7th there seems to not work so well. Of course, that could be fixed in a final version by having a chording instrument play the root on the top, giving you that nice min2nd crunch ala Pat Metheny's "If I Could". We'll look at it later.

very nice. It sounds like a Patitucci or Metheny ballad.
