Replace about 70% of it in a heartbeat.

And while I'm shopping again anyway, I'd probably end up with a CD collection 5 times as large.

I'd replace most of it, but some music in my collection I just picked up out of curiosity (a large chunk of my records mainly).

Yeah curiosity, but I also have music I picked up as an adolescent that doesn't do it for me now.

I'd probably replace large sections of it, but not necessarily all of it.

Nope. I no longer collect music. I listen to Pandora, streaming radio and PodCasts. The only music on my hard drive is stuff I have to learn for my bands.

I'd replace a lot of it but nowhere near all of it.

I probably would over a long period of time replace most of it. But I have all my CD's ripped to my hard drive and that is duplicated onto an ipod. So unless my flat caught fire and I had left my ipod there too, the chances of losing it all is slim.

But I have to add, I do like having tangible CD with sleeves, even if they only get used once to rip them then go on the shelf. So I think the ones I would be most gutted about losing would be the special editions and box sets, that are hard to replace, or the ones that complete a whole artists discography.

I would replace some things but probably not that much, at least not at first. I tend to tire of stuff quick and am always looking for something new or different. I'm currently checking out all kinds of west African type stuff currently. A lot of my stuff would get replaced eventually but not till my tastes swung back towards that music style.

Some. I can't afford to do it all over again! We're talking at least 15 years of collecting! No way!

I'd replace 90% of my music. Some are irreplaceable, especially the LPs and 45s, so that would be a bummer.

15 years? Almost 40 years here....yes, I still have my first-ever 'real' 3 LPs-
Santana-Abraxas
Jackson 5-ABC
Led Zep- III
Got those for my 12th birthday.

I would hope I would narrow things down to the best 1 or 2 thousand...I have over 100 just between Miles & Coltrane.

I would probably replace the stuff with amazing album books like Tool's Cd's. I'd probably also replace the fundamental stuff... and take the chance to get a bunch of new stuff.

LOL! I was thinking of cd's only! As far as records and cassettes, I can go back almost 40 years as well!

I'd cry like a little girl! I'd miss my vinyl so much!

A lot of my collection is irreplaceable, first prints, limited prints etc etc. Anything I don't listen to, I give to charity shops so I'd have to replace my entire collection!
