All,
John Mayer Trio and "TRY!" (the recording with Pino Palladino and Steve Jordan) is pretty much the type of band I'd love to play with if I could choose only one and only one.
The energy of Steve, the tasteful yet rich playing of Pino combines with the guitar/voice of John seem to be the spicy and hot ingredients. I especially love the way they interprete hendrix covers (wait until tomorrow, bold as love) and "good love is on the way".
I would love if they released other 100 albums along that music style. Meantime, what are the listening suggestions for something similar apart from the usual suspects ? I'm especially looking for some hidden jem

(at least John Mayer Trio was a hidden jem to me)
I have already down in my "modern" blues & blues-rock collection:
SRV
Cream
Clapton
Derek & Dominos
Allman Brothers
The Black Crowes
Led Zeppelin
The Faboulous Thunderbirds
Joe Bonamassa
Susan Tedeschi
Jason Ricci
BB King
among others...
