That depends on whether the rap artist is a decent, reasonable human being, or just a niggardly* thief who enjoys crushing souls and dreams in his/her spare time.
These days, IIRC, the law is on the side of the original musician - however, unless you have plenty of dough to retain a good entertainment lawyer (or the other guy has lots of dough that can be taken away from him), you likely won't get any results.
