Looking to expand my collection. I have Raw Power and Lust for Life. Fun House is on the way. Any Recommendations?

I suppose the first Stooges record would be next. If you like that old Michigan proto-punk type stuff you might also want to look in to the MC5 and Radio Birdman. I've heard mixed reviews about the new Stooges album, haven't heard it myself.

Yeah, you need the first record. "1969" and "I Wanna Be Your Dog" are rock classics. The 2005 reissue CD contains 4 of the original John Cale mixes, which were apparently rejected by Electra.

hey, would you be surprised to hear me say the new stooges album isn't good?

other guy: get "the idiot."

list of iggy things worth getting: stooges, funhouse, raw power, the idiot, lust for life, new values, and avenue b.

oh, and one of those raw power collections with stuff like "head on" "johanna" and "i got nothin'" on it.

everything else is best for a download as several more songs are worth hearing but not worth paying $17 or so, when only one good song is on there. "mask" for example from "beat 'em up" or the death in vegas song "aisha." these can be found on youtube if you wanna hear 'em.

Cool! Thanks! I actually have 1 MC5 cd. That's what got me to buy Raw Power!

You really can't go wrong if his name is on the recording - but I'm an unabashed fan.

Skull Rings is awesome and includes the Stooges current era.
