I've been trying to record some tracks for a while now, but I'm getting some sort of phaser with volume oscillations. It's freakin annoying!!

I tried so far:
bass-» amp's headphones output-»mic input on the computer
bass-» vtbass-»mic input on the computer
bass-» mic input on the computer
bass-» mic into the mic input on the computer

what's happening? first i thought it was some king of input overload, but even when I tried recording from the bass directly to the computer i got that phaser. if I play pure stacatto it isn't as noticeable as when I play chords but that doesn't make it any better for me.

I'm staring to think it's due to the soundboard on the computer, or at least the mic input, but I can't change those on a laptop.
