Indy: Bodies of Water - A Certain Feeling

Has anyone else been digging the latest Bodies of Water album?

This one has really been creeping up on me...liking it more and more with each listen. Very diverse album with a nice mix of grand anthems, art-rockish outbursts and softer, atmospheric crooners. Excellent album. Without a doubt my favorite track is Darling, Be Here. Phenomenal.

Most of the songs feature Meredith Metcalf on the lead vocal parts (when it's not one of the many choruses) but one of the guys sings and on two tracks when he comes in and starts to belt it out his vocals totally hearken back to one of the great 60's prog rock bands. I can't put my finger on who he reminds me of. At first I thought Greg Lake but then I went back and relistened to some Lake and it wasn't what I was thinking of.
EDIT: I think the voice that I am being reminded of is John Wetton's...reference The Great Deceiver off of King Crimson's Starless and Bible Black

Anyway...check this album out...Bodies of Water inevitably gets compared to Polyphonic Spree and Arcade Fire in reviews but I haven't really gotten into either of those bands so if you don't like them then don't let it turn you off of them.

EDIT: Just realized that I had the old album listed in the title, not the new one. I'm talking about the album A Certain Feeling.

I haven't heard the album yet, but I did see their album release party in Los Angeles. I have a friend who was playing 'bone and the bass player is a coworker of a friend of mine.

Definitely fun music and the new songs seem a lot more mature than their earlier stuff.

Perhaps slightly darker/edgier too.

Oops - just realized that I listed their old album in the title. A Certain Feeling is the album that I'm talking about...just released a few weeks back.
