Are you or do you know someone who is just starting out or someone who needs some extra gear to keep at the summer cottage? I think you can't go wrong with a Squier Affininty Jazz (I never tried the P but I'm sure it's great too). For $179.00 how can you beat it. Add to that a Digitech BP50 multi-fx which can be found on ebay for less than $50.00 and you have a fairly decent sounding unit that can duplicate nearly every style.
I would love to do a head to head comparison against an SX Jazz someday.
