I've been really into this stuff as of late. Explosions in the Sky got me into it, and I've been listening to them a lot, as well as Isis and Red Sparowes. Is there any other cool instrumental bands to check out?

Jazz, Classical. There are whole Genre's for "instrumental music".

Maybe you need to be a little more specific. Like Instrumental Rock or Instrumental Experimental Music or something. Cause a Miles tune is instrumental but it sure doesn't share much with Explosions in the sky.

Well, that's why I gave examples of the bands I like. Dark rock, but not metal.

Some of my favorite instrumental rock music is from the Dixie Dregs. I highly recommend "Bring 'em Back Alive". Dave LaRue plays bass on that one, with the infamous Steve Morse on Guitar, and other incredible musicians who's name escapes me right now.
