iTunes spam: buy my stuff. (Plus free goodies!)

Hey kids - I just got my stuff up on iTunes recently, and I thought I'd get on here and try to con you into buying my stuff.

Benjamin Strange - Alone (iTunes link)

This is my ultra dark solo acoustic record, done almost entirely on my 9-string Alvarez. Most of my stuff I do is way over the top, with tons of layers and noises and odd time signatures and the like, so I thought I might take a stab at stripping it down to almost nothing and see if the songs still stand up. It's rough and spare by design - and very depressing, so all you emo kids might need to sign a waiver before listening.

Burnt Infant - Spam (iTunes link)

This is my first fully micro-tonal record - I used my quartertone/fretless Hello Kitty guitar throughout this one. These were 100% improvised utilizing a sort of Frippertronics type setup. While it's mostly just soundscapes devoid of recognizable melody, I am told they are best played LOUD. Some of the song titles might be a bit objectionable - all of them were actual subject lines of spam that made it's way to my email inbox.

Also, I've got a few free mp3s available from a previous Burnt Infant record which I've sold out of (Early Works). This was an collection of stuff that I was working on while I was trying to figure out what this whole Burnt Infant thing was going to be - solo bass stuff, early microtonal experiments, musique concrete. Enjoy!

Constipated Turtles on Heroin (mp3)

For A Girl (mp3)

For Clara (mp3)

I must admit - I do have a ulterior motive for spamming all of you: I desperately need the money to outfit my studio for my upcoming record. The last year's economic troubles have decimated my finances, and I was forced to sell off almost all of my studio gear. I've got a handful of tracks finished, and can't get back to work on them until I've gotten a few pieces back (some early demos can be heard on my main music page: Benjamin Strange - Music). I've finally gotten myself a decent job after being largely unemployed for about 16 months, but I can't buy any gear until I've paid off my massive debt. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
