J-pop has intense basslines

I've been playing bass instead of studying for exams lately. I stumbled upon this opening theme for an anime, and was surprised at how cool the bassline was. I decided to try to learn it:

Comments are appreciated! I'll get back to studying now .

Cowboy Bebop had a pretty neat bassline in its title song.

Yeah, it's very cool. The one who wrote it also happened to make the one I played on the video, too

Yea, You really have to be able to kick it if you you want to play for a J pop/J rock band. It's not straight 8ths the whole song like a lot of western rock. Check this out:

All kinds groove that I wish I had. I think it may be a synth bassline played on keyboard but still funky as all get out.

I find J rock always has top notch musicians. I went to take my daughter to see Puffy Ami Yumi a few years ago and I was blown away by the band. They played their arses off. They were amazing. They got such a great crowd response they were almost in tears.

A brilliant show. Same with the Oreskaband- they too were brilliant.

Yup, you need crazy skills for some of this stuff, most in fact.
