I was wondering if anyone had heard any recordings of the original Jack Bruce & Friends with

Jack Bruce-Bass
Larry Coryell-Guitar
Mitch Mitchell-Drums
Michael Mandell-Keys

I read about them in a Hendrix bio , it took place mostly during the band of gypsys time . This is why Buddy miles was in the group, mitch wasnt available. This band has been called the greatest band to never have a record. There are supposed to be some pretty good bootlegs out there of this group.

I have some of this, pretty rough quality. It was put up on dime a dozen in the last year or so.

I have never heard about any good quality recordings of that band and I've only seen one promo photo (the one in the liner of the Songs For A Tailor CD reissue).

A real tease, eh...Mandel plays on a number of Coryell LPs around that period and he's great.

Jack's equally shortlived mid-70s band with Carla Bley and Mick Taylor finally showed up on CD after 30 years.
