I returned to playing after nearly 20 years away - found talkbass almost two years ago and started playing again. Always liked this song - decided to learn it - my attempt at it and my first Youtube Vid. My Stock Lakland 5501 through my Tascam BT Mk1 direct into my Mini DV Video Camera. Be kind

Thanks everyone - and yes it was Wilton Felder - he also plays Sax - and this line to me has that influence - if you listen to it and hear a Sax instead of a Bass you'll see what I mean. Not Jamerson -but still a great line. There was a short one pager on this in Bass Player a few months back where he talked about the Bass he used etc.... I think it was a 70's Fender Tele Bass if I remember correctly. This was one of my first records when I was a kid.

What kind of strings are you using on this vid? Flats? Certainly sound like it. Nice playing man!
