Jackson 5 EQing

I don't know if this is the wrong forum to post this in. I haven't posted on here in ages, but I'm really trying to figure this out.

My band's is going to be on a compilation of Michael Jackson music to pay tribute. We're going to do I Want You Back by the Jackson 5.

I'm absolutely in love with Wilton Felder's bassline, and I've got it down, but I'm trying to figure what EQing I should use to get a sound more like the original (I know I can't get it exactly right, but I just want it closer). I've figured out that boosting the mids helps it, but I feel like I'm still missing something. I've never been good at EQing my bass for different sounds. Can anyone give me any tips?
