Alright, so I posted this video recently. Just curious what you guys think. Nothing too special.
Any comments on my techniques, hints?
There's mistakes, of course, but I was just messing around.

You've got the chops, but you need the groove to go with it now. |

See, I'll have a good groove going, and it'll make me want to record it, but I find everytime I'm on camera, it's like a different playing setting, and I can't get it to flow as smoothly. So I'll go to record, and then just give up several times because I can't get the same feel going that I had before recording. You can see my other 2 jam videos are even worse IMO.
Thanks for the input, it's very much appreciated!

Cus' getting little fast triplets like that to sound good has been one of my biggest problems with cool slap jams.

Like the others have said, concentrate on the basics. You've got the chops, now you just need to use them in the right context.

Sometimes I'll just be sitting somewhere without my bass and I'll try doing that sort of thing just on the edge of a desk. It's rather hard to explain, but I find practicing without the bass can help quite a bit!
Anyway, I've watched the video again, and I've noticed even more instances when I lose the groove, like I don't stay in time. Really I'm no longer that fond of this video at all...
Definitely will be working on that and hopefully I'll have a new video to post up with a much better groove. Thanks for all the input!

There are parts that are really nice and then it goes nowhere. Usually, peeps don't solo for 4 minutes either. I'd solo over a drum machine |

I have one on my BP50 pedal, so when I get a chance and I'm in a good jamming mood, I'll give it another shot and if it turns out decent, I'll post it up, if not, I guess I need more practice!
Mind you I've always been proud of my timing, which is why I'm now very unhappy with this video...ah well.
