Jamerson/Motown Compilations

I'd like to buy a Motown compilation that has tons of songs (with James on bass, of course), but I don't want to pay too much money. Ideally, I'd like to buy it on iTunes, but there aren't many affordable choices. Here are the choices I found:

Motown 1's - 25 songs for 11.99

Motown Classics Gold - 40 songs for 19.99
(also, there's a "More" version of this with 40 other songs)

There's a "Complete Motwon Singles" series, 5 volumes or so, each volume is $59.99 and has about 150 or so songs each.

Any ideas? I want to listen to the man's work. Thanks.

best of's by smokey robinson,four tops,temptations,supremes,etc are usually affordable and a lot of his best stuff was recorded on songs that may not be on the bigger multi artist collections.....

There is also a collection called "RESPECT" it is 2 cds, great songs from Motown and Jamerson played on a lot of these.
