FTFY

Love Jamiroquai....it took me a while to warm up to their post-Zender work, but Paul's bass work with them is just too good to ignore. Looking forward to the new album.

Hehe. Yeah, it's always good...but it's really standing out on that clip.

I wonder what his current setup is? Avella? Stingray? Aguilar? I must cop his sound.

+100.

I understand the whole "We want Stu back" thing, but honestly, it's been a long time, I don't think they want to work together and Paul Turner has done an amazing job and contributed some great basslines.

Let the man do his thing; He seems to be doing a great job.

Also, the song sounds good. Looking forward to hearing the full album.

Looks like he's swinging an Avella in this recent clip:

I saw him playing an Alleva Coppola LG5 together with the aguilar stack in the picture you posted...

Yeah looks like one in the vid. Beautiful binding on the neck. I'd never heard of Alleva Coppola, but now I have the gasses!

Here is the full version of White Knuckle Ride.

I'm not really sure what to make of it yet. It's got some really nice parts that I start to feel the groove overtake me, then there are some low points that just feel out of place to me. I'm still anticipating the album release..but I hope the two songs I've heard so far are not the highlights.

Yeah, I'm not overly excited by this track, but it's still good, and no one is doing funk/disco today quite like Jay and Co. I kinda like some of their acid jazz and rock stylings, but I REALLY dig it when they do the mirror ball thing.

Sounds like Jamiroquai to me! I don't think I've ever thought before an album release that every song will be great but for whatever reason I feel that way about Rock Dust Light Star .

I'm the opposite. The acid jazz stuff was Mecca for me when they were playing it in the 90s, the new stuff is just way too unce-unce disco for me.

Both Nick (who surprisingly played on my fave Jam. tunes) and Paul have been more than adequate replacements.
I used to try to "tier" them all, but nowadays I've got full on respect for each and what they do.
Nick is amazing in their Tokyo DVD and his Zon tone is !
