Japanese rock now available on iTunes USA

To my pleasant surprise iTunes USA now carries albums from popular Japanese bands such as L'Arc~en~Ciel, and Gackt. This is fairly surprising, but considering the recent success of Dir en grey, its really nice to see these bands get more exposure in the U.S.

Here are a few links (within iTunes) to check out their stuff.
L'Arc~en~Ciel

Gackt

Dir en grey

I highly recommend checking out some tracks off of the L'Arc~en~Ciel album "Kiss," as it is there most recent. Check out "The Black Rose" and "Daybreak's Bell"

From Gackt, I highly recommend, "Speed Master" and "Wa Su Re Na I Ka Ra" from the album "Moon," and "Redemption" from its E.P.

For first time listeners of Dir en grey, I highly suggest "Dozing Green" (their latest single), "Ryoujoku no Ame" and "The Pledge" from their album, "The Marrow of a Bone"

Enjoy

Quite true, but I will say that iTunes is a pretty big deal when it comes to accessibility!

Thanks to Live Journal, torrent forums, and other social networking sites though, Japanese music gained a lot of popularity outside Japan.

I know I have places to go when I need new music
