Yeah man, I wish Jason was still in Metallica, but after 15 years of getting treated like crap, Id leave too... Jason looked up to Metallica, but they looked down on him, he said that "the person I respected the most(james), disrespected me the most".
James and Lars should apologize to Jason. Metallica should also release a remastered version of AJFA, and let Jason do the playing, or at least raise the volume of the bass.
oh btw, anybody know how Tallicas relationship with Jason is now? |

I'd be surprised if Jason cares to be honest.
My bet is that Robert Truillio <sp?> is gonna get the same treatment. Or at least a heavy reminder that he is just a hired gun.
Something that he's actually used to, so it may not be an issue for him.

They seemed pretty shook by it actually. Even a while after, in the Some Kind of Monster documentary, they seemed down that they did that to Jason, I'm sure they've apologized.
I think Kirk should stick with the Les Paul, it's got big fat tone that sounds much better than his thin sound he usually has.
Jason, on the other hand went on to bigger and MUCH BETTER things. Ozzy... VOIVOD!! I mean, c'mon, he became a MEMBER OF VOIVOD. Not to mention his various, various side projects and bands he's helped out!
So Jason, more active than ever
Metallica? A sinking ships. Lars drumming is getting worse and worse, James singing is getting weaker and weaker. Metallica is pretty much a joke in the metal world now.
Jason wins

nothing to do with anything really, but for some reason Metallicas guitars always sound just a little bit out of tune with each other.

| | | | I thought James liked Rob better mainly because Rob plays with his fingers like Cliff did, rather than using a pick like Jason.

You can't compare him to Rob cause they're two different styles of bassist. I feel sorry for Rob, he joined the band at their ****tist point IMHO. There is no doubt in my mind the Jason was the right man for the job every moment between he he joined and left metallica. He left at the right time IMO cause there would have been a major clash with St. Anger, lets be honest, thats not the kind of stuff Jason would write and to be frank, not even Jason could save half them songs (I mean purify? Worst!). Jason is a god, no doubt. |

And he's amazing too. We'll get to see on their next album what he's all about. I don't really care for Metallica much post Master of Puppets though, but I respect Newsted and Trujillo a lot. |

I love this video too.
He's definitely high up on my hero list, especially after meeting him at Ozzfest and seeing him play with BOTH Voivod and Ozzy...
