I dig! Sonically much clearer than on your previous project. I'm feeling that groove! And you can't go wrong with 'Pretty' Purdie on the skins!

Mine too! Good stuff JAUQO, keep it coming. The more and more music that is recorded with a sub contra bass, maybe we will see it come into mainstream music. Then I will be able to buy strings, and not have to play tuba parts an octave up. (sorry, winds band bass player whining)

Thanks Dave. Sonically this recording is more open because it's only one guitar, on TLC#T I wanted to show how the Sub Contra bass can move through two crazy guitarists and still make the point that I set out to make.

Thank you and I have some mainstream projects coming up where I'm using my Sub contra bass.

Playing with Purdie must be quite the experience.
The man's got an incredible sense of refinement in his playing.
So light, fresh and powerful at the same time.

Bernard is the drummer who taught me what the pocket is all about and the importance that it holds in any musical setting, many many years before I ever met him or played with him. Me and Bernard have had the chance to play with each other on a few occassions before we recorded together and it was those encounters that allowed us the inpiration to finally make the time to record a CD together.

That tone is very consistent through out the entire CD, even when I go very very low it still sounds like a growling anaconda.

Wow, Bernard Purdie! Uh, that's like really, really cool!

Oh, and the bass sounds really good, too! That particular segment didn't have too much sub bass stuff, right? Pretty much 5 string-ish territory? I just want to make sure my ears aren't playing tricks on me.
