Any more from this session? |

btw, have you listened to allen woody's work on his 18 string bass?
i remember seeing him play with the allman brothers years ago
and it blew my mind.
looking foreward to hearing more of your music!
cheers |

During the main groove it sounds like you're hammering the bejeezus out of an upright! Very natural, woody, and open tone.
For your "solo" section, were you only "fretting" (couldn't think of a better term, even for fretless) the low string of the set of 3 for the bass notes?
Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I dig.

During the main groove section,I'm thumping, plucking and tapping and just laying in the pocket(as you can hear)and during the solo I'm mainly tapping and playing chords while focusing on the standard E & A strings(to maintain the bottom aspect of the solo) while bouncing back into the full group of 3's(all 3 strings fretted)and very close to the end of the track where me and the drummer are rolling into the outro,I'm plucking the same line he's playing on drums.
And thanks for digging it,I'm really just being myself with all this.

sounds awesome, and in the solo, i kept thinking of primus' the air is getting slippery. (im not sure if thats the name of the song, i havent listened to it in a while)
makes me want to go out and get a fretless.

At first I thought this sounded like an even more out-there King Crimson (with chops out the wazoo) but by the end it sounds like nothing else. I dig this most furiously. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
