This is really great stuff.
It'd be great if Jay Z could tone his voice down a bit quieter.

i dont know if this is legit though, it sounds like it fits, but the youtuberz make it seem like the poster simply mixed the tracks on his own.

Yeah. I think it was some amateur mash up.

But to answer one of your questions, MM was originally a studio guy if I'm not mistaken. I've listened to some records before and been impressed by the bass playing and upon researching, found Marcus Miller credited as bassist. I forget which ones though...

That backing was from Marcus Miller's first solo CD. Here is some late eighties funk with the Jamaica Boys:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2wFO...eature=related

This is the real deal...I love it! And the Jamaica Boys...man, I wore out that CD! Marcus and Lenny White. As a famous bass player may have recently said, "Holy Hot Sauce!"

(Tangent) Classic Marcus: Grover Washington, Jr., Winelight.

Marcus w/ Steve Gadd & Eric Gale...behind Grover and Bill Withers.
