I just played a cool jazz bar last night in London with my Big Fan quartet - here's a little bass solo action on the tune 'Sunny' - that's Christian Miller on guitar.
Hope you like the funky groove - I'll add the full version of the tune some time soon.

That's your warwick, correct? | Yes - but I just had it completely refretted and the tone has improved loads, the slap sound is much better, is riculously fast to play - plus I have a Shack 3-band EQ in it with MECs - it now rocks again!

You slapping/DTing wasn't overwhelming here by any standard, and was used quite tastefully in my opinion without neccesarily "taming" it. That was some mighty fine soloing there. I really dug it.

I really dug it. | Thanks Havic - completely w**king out with slap chops, especially on a jazz gig, is very old hat these days - I love the sound of it but just used a little - I appreciate your comments.
