not hearing the jazz thing... a few arpeggiated chords, but that's doesn't constitute jazz. do you guys improve any of it, it sounds composed. no swing beat, no ii-V's...
i'm not knocking it, just not feeling the "jazz" part of the "core," and you are setting up for disappointment if you call it one thing, and they hear another.

Regarding it's not 'this' or 'that', or 'it's more this than that'... who cares? Let's not have another silly debate like the whole 'Death Metal' mess on here from a ways back.

Mix wise though, the drums are way too dominant and the bass could be mixed higher. It's all vocals, guitar and cymbals and the bass gets a little lost in the mix. There's enough room in the music to bring certains elements up and certain elements down IMHO. However, I do understand that myspaz and heavy compression won't help none Good stuff though.

You lot certainly tend to get hung up on semantics, though! Wow. I was only relating what I'd heard from local press, not sure if I agree with it myself. 'Jazzcore'? Sounds like the 'nu-metal' of tech-metal to me. That's not too good.
I'm stoked people actually enjoy it. It takes a lot of work to get stuff like this moving, and there are lots of numbers involved, and my head hurts a lot of the time 
The more comments the better, good and bad. I want to hear it all.
P.S. No-one in the band is really a huge Patton or Naked City fan. Go figure!

my first reaction was "what the hell, this sounds like gibberish"
then I thought "hmm, maybe"
really I think the only reason I don't really dig it is that I've never enjoyed hardcore vocals. If ya tried some grunts it may come out better.
props to you guys for trying to create original music though.

Our boy teaches jazz for a living, and is probably one of the most accomplished timekeepers in Melbourne (Melbourne being Australia's music capital). If you can't hear the absolute insanity that he manages in that song, you're deaf.
