...on bass that is! I just peeped an old video titled "Save The Children" a concert film filmed back in 1973. Several relevant R&B artists from the era were involved including the Jackson 5. The band was playing live and Jermaine was ripping it playing runs not unlike what Sharay Reed and many Gospel bassists like to play! Very Jamerson-esque but cleaner and faster! I knew dude could play but dang, dude can PLAY! Surprised he never did any sideman gigs! He was very well qualified! |

Thinking he was in his late teens in '73 (I was 14), he was a very accomplished player! |

You think that because Michael could sing he was the only talented one? I am sure he didnt get all the talent and his brothers were musical lames. that was a talented family |

I work at universal-motown and in June we will be releasing 2 live J5 concerts on CD (71-72) and i can tell you Jermaine is REALLY playing his butt off!! In the meantime check out Jermaine in the clip below. The J5 doing covers of "Stand" and "Feeling Allright. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=am5aEOfnFD8 |

He's talking in the third person. ..... Sorry if someone else pointed this out cause Bassmickeyd ain't no fool.
What I'd like to know is if that was Smoke Robinson's daughter on the floor running her nails down Jermaine's back? | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
