Jerry Jemmott on old Freddie King albums

Sign in to disble this ad
anyone who loves Jerry Jemmott's bass playing on the classic BB King "Live and Well" and "Completely Well" might also enjoy Jemmott on a couple old Freddie King albums from around '69 or '70:

"Freddie King is a Blues Master" and "My Feeling For the Blues". the latter is the better of the 2, thanks to Donny Hathaway's soul-full horn/ensemble arrangements, and also the mix and production just sounds better, though conceptually they're pretty similar records. probably not impossible to find on the internet. try half.com, gemm.com, etc.

Thanks for the tip. Was working on Jerry's basslines from Completely Well a couple months ago. So much fun to play!

The live at the Fillmore King Curtis and Aretha Franklin albums have some great Jerry Jemmott playing as well! He is teamed up with Bernard Purdie....awesome groove!
