I have her album Beautifully Human: Words and Sounds Vol.2. I really dig her sound and lyrics. She's got a pretty good bass player too. He stays real solid and groovy and holds it down. Just seeing if anyone else digs her stuff? Has seen her Live? Can tell me more about her bassplayer?

thanks.

I absolutely dig what she does with the Roots and some tracks of her albums, but some of her songs are a bit too "soft" imo.

Favorite track: It's Love

The bass playing, and arranging in general on her live album is amazing!! So smooooth! I don't know who her studio bassist is, they're not listed on "who is Jill Scott?". I know Adam Blackstone tours with her, but not sure if he plays on the live album.

Definitely worth a listen, like most good neo-soul these days. Badu, Jill Scott, Angie Stone, Maxwell, and others I'm too tired to remember right now
