There is, IMO, a killer version on the Live And Unreleased album.

Weather Report (mainly Joe & Jaco) were livid...an issue or two later, Downbeat gave WR (Joe & Jaco) a cover + their rebuttal.
Pretty funny, IIRC.

I really can imagine a pummeling Joe Frazier when I hear that tune. Teen Town is more oblique, but I think that fits Jaco who was not as in your face as Jeff Berlin is.

Doesn't get much more in the face than that...IMO.

Pretty funny, IIRC. | I recall reading about that in Bill Milkowski's book on Jaco. Wish I could have been there at the time to see it go down! FWIW, I think Jaco and Joe both give stunning performances on that record. The pursuit of the woman in the feathered hat might be one of WR's finest moments! Night Passage was a fantastic record too. As was Weather Report (1982). Man, Weather Report rocked. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
