Entwistle used some really tight strings. Supposedly he used Pyramids. His finger speed is amazing.

It's quite new to me too, and what an amazing perfomance it is from start to finish. I remember thinking The Who had a second guitarist for a couple of months after I first got a copy of "Live at Leeds"! The guy was a giant.
