Abso-frikkin'-lutely - both CDs, as well as Malone's first CD released under his name as a "solo album" (1996's "Cortlandt") are packed full of Amazing! Sauce, but the first GK CD is by far contains the most "Chapman Stick Songs" - "Cortlandt" is second and "Emergent" third (Sean's stated that he wanted the Stick to provide the bass role on the first GK album, and fretless bass take over on the second.)
As for JM, he's featured on the songs "Srikara Tal" and "Redemption's Way" from the first
Gordian Knot album. In terms of Dream Theater recordings, even though he's taken the Stick to ever recording session since 1997's
Falling Into Infinity only "New Millennium" (in which he uses fingerpicking technique along with the Stick's traditional tapping) has come out as a full song played on the instrument. "Trial Of Tears" and "Take Away My Pain", also from that album and "Misunderstood" from
Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence contained Stick, although the last three only contain
parts recorded on the Stick and have always been performed live on Bass. The song-heavy bassline to "Home" from
Scenes From A Memory was also originally written on the Stick, but then "transferred" to Bass as the songwriting developed further.
