Jurassic 5 Tone

I'm listening to Quality Control from Jurassic 5 and get over how funky and 'live' their beats sound. Whether or not the instruments are real, if I wanted to try and get the bass tone on this album (the bass tones are slightly different on each track but sound like they came from the same bass) what type of bass would you recommend? It sounds so deep and gritty and heavy and FUNKY!

i got jurrassic 5's power in numbers album a month back, and this album has good bass playing aswell, really good funk/hip hop, i beleive the instruments are real.
This post wasnt much help, but this is the first post to mention jurrasic 5 i've seen, how is that album by the way?

Quality Control is great, super funky and old school. I'll assume that this an Power In Numbers are fairly similar, but I'm going to listen to that oen next and I recommend Quality Control for you to listen to next. QC is very upbeat and near impossible not to bob the head to. How nasty is Chalie 2na? His voice/delivery is so laid back and just damn cool!

thx, ill deffinitly pick up QC, power in numbers has a slight reggae vibe aswell, deffinitly werth checking out, thin line featuring nelly furtado and freedom are really good tracks aswell as many others, i've only listened to it twice so far but from what i remember theres plenty of good material on there.

The low voiced guy is Charlie 2na. I don't know if he'll know, but I'll ask Akil about the music.
