Metallica have been practicing, their performances are getting better and better. Check out their performance at Rock Am Ring, heres Tallica playing ...And Justice For All, James' singing is spot on and he sounds really good! Kirk also got much better, very good performance of this song...with bass too ! http://youtube.com/watch?v=y5nWeZTPZDQ |

I didn't complain when they went pop on the Black Album, didn't mind one iota when they cut their hair, I didn't get mad when they sued Napster, and I most certainly did not gripe about St. Anger.....BUT...I am sick and tired of the 6 or 7 years between albums.
With that said, James' voice is sounding better. And Kirk, well, Kirk is to my generation what Jimi Hendrix was to my dad's. Rob is still the big question mark though. His performances live thus far with Metallica are good and his tone is sweet but I reserve any opinion on him as a bassist until the new album comes out.
Thanks for the clip, always nice to have yet another reason to watch yet another Met vid. C YA!! |

Jason was pretty good for a guy who played a big guitar, but Rob is a real bass player.
Any of his tunes with Zak Wylde prove that the guy can rock well in addition to his amazing funk abilities. |
