King Crimson - Red bass intro

Love those chords in the intro!

I also recorded a little bit of the verse riff... I think I copped a pretty close Wetton tone on this one. Lots of fun to play.

Let me know what you think!

Edit: UK - In the Dead of Night bass video
Another Wetton track I recorded, this time from his years with U.K.

Wonderful to see younger players appreciate us older guys! Nice clip...

John is a great player. His sound at that time (Precision, Rotosounds and Hiwatt w/12"s) is classic... note my signature and avatar...

jenderfazz,
You probably are aware of him, but if you are not... check out Ray Shulman's work on any of the Gentle Giant albums. (Acquiring the Taste/Octopus/In a Glass House/Power and the Glory, etc...)
Same basic equipment (Precision, Rotosounds and Marshall w/12"s), and in a similar genre, as Crimson-era Wetton.
Happy Holidays!

That's nicely done...

I've got a pretty good recording of one my bands playing Red live - I'll post if anyone's interested.

OK here it is. http://ebassist.com/photopost/images/mm-audio.gif
