KISS Fans!! KISSOLOGY - Pretty Cool Stuff

Sign in to disble this ad
I just picked this new 3 DVD Set, and it's awesome!
It's only stuff from 1974 through 1977 - a lot of early appearances and concerts.

The packaging is fantastic. If you're a KISS fan, you'll go nuts. If not, you may find some humor and be entertained yet.

Anyhow, you get several hours of vintage KISS for $19.

Disc 1 (3 hr, 23 min)
"Acrobat" - Long Beach Auditorium, 2/17/74
ABC's "In Concert"
Mike Douglas Show
Winterland in S.F., 1/31/75
The Midnight Special, 4/1/75
KISS ALive! Promo Clips, 1975
Documentary on Cadillac MI visit
Cobo Hall, MI, 1/26/76
Disc 2 (2 hr, 56 min)
So It Goes, 8/21/76
Paul Lynde Halloween Special, 10/29/76

The words "Paul Lynde Halloween Special" could strike fear in the heart of the bravest man. Really, a terrifying concept.

KISS is goofy fun. A rock and roll circus. I'd like to see this thing.

Yeah, the Paul Lynde part sounds funny - I haven't seen it yet. The Mike Douglas Show was hilarious - the other guests had absolutely zero idea what to make of Gene Simmons. A couple of them didn't say a single word - it was pretty funny.
One thing I like is that this stuff is un-retouched (if that's a word I can use here). They make the same mistakes my bands make, and the vocals are...well....they remember the words. ;-) The video quality is great, and so is the audio - it's just that it's raw, and that's refreshing I suppose.
Anyhow, KISS was the first band I saw in concert back in 1977, so this stuff brings back some fun memories.
And, yeah, it is totally goofy rock fun!

The first song I learned on bass was "Cold Gin" (after abandoning "Roundabout"). You’re right, the discs look like great fun.
