Laid Back Acoustic Songs

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi, my new band has been jamming for a few weeks and have a few songs down, but we are looking to find a few more so we can have at least 10 by the time we start gigging.
So far we have the following songs prepared, or almost prepared:

Karma Police by Radiohead
Ziggy Stardust by David Bowie
Someday by The Strokes
I'm only Sleeping by the Beatles
Creeper by The Islands
and I hope to add Taper Jean Girl by the Kings of Leon

Does anyone have any suggestions for some songs that are in the same vein as those songs, they do not need to be strictly acoustic , but we have one acoustic guitar and a bass so the song needs to work with those instruments. I would of course prefer if the song had an interesting, if not overly difficult, bass line. (the bass in Ziggy Stardust and Only Sleeping are good" examples)
We are looking for some songs that are really calm, almost ambient, and we can all play fairly solidly, especially the singer so don't hesitate to post some tough vocal songs.

Thanks ahead of time!
