I recently bought a Line 6 Variax 705 bass to record my band's upcoming album. For the most part, it has worked rather well for the recordings; it has a nice, solid low end that complements the songs almost perfectly. The only thing is I don't know how crazy I am about the way it feels in my hands. I've been thinking about selling it and picking up a Lakland 55-01 or 02 for both the studio and other shows.
So, Lakland owners, how do the 55-01/2's hold up in the studio? We play an eclectic mix of country, rock, funk, and reggae; taking that into consideration, is Lakland the way to go?
