Lighten up. It's Soul Train. Nobody played live on the show.

I am all lightened up - what's with the attitude? I'm just stating my opinion on the vid and about playback in general.

Larry Graham is awesome. I saw him not long ago at the
BB King Blues Club in NYC. He was tearin' it up and having a
great time. And he looks great. The guy seems to have
barely aged since he played at Woodstock.

No attitude here but you did say it wasn't "cool" . Back then, nobody played live on national TV shows. Very rare! Well, The Lawrence Welk show did have a live big band orchestra. And the Talk Shows but there was a lot of money going into those shows....they could afford it.

Larry Graham - Super Slapping Bass part 1 - YouTube

Larry Graham's instructional videos are the ultimate in funk, IMO. The thing about Larry Graham is that the man is a born entertainer! I can watch him all day, and I don't care how fast Victor Wooten is, slapping have never gotten better than Graham.

I've seen that video may times and I still get a kick out of it. Great respect for Mr. Graham.
