I love those clips of two of my heroes. They are proof that there is more than one way to be a great musician. Stanley Clarke is clearly a virtuoso jazz musician who ended up with pop appeal. He is not an "entertainer" at heart. Graham is a monster showman, one can tell that he cut his teeth with an act like the Family Stone instead or Return to Forever.

. The bottom line is that both are fantastic at what they do. I always loved Graham, but I used to consider inferior to Stanley Clarke. I don't feel that way now! Graham is not a jazz player, but no one can do what he does better.
