Love these clips, Stan is a monster. Stan and Larry were members of some kind of weird cult when this was made, yes?

I love those clips of two of my heroes. They are proof that there is more than one way to be a great musician. Stanley Clarke is clearly a virtuoso jazz musician who ended up with pop appeal. He is not an "entertainer" at heart. Graham is a monster showman, one can tell that he cut his teeth with an act like the Family Stone instead or Return to Forever.. The bottom line is that both are fantastic at what they do. I always loved Graham, but I used to consider inferior to Stanley Clarke. I don't feel that way now! Graham is not a jazz player, but no one can do what he does better.
