Can you recomend some??
The only 3 tunes I can remember that use this technique are Travelling without moving off Jamiroquai, Stomp bass solo by louis Johnson and some Mark King tunes...can you give more recordings that use this technique?

There's plenty...
Larry Graham ("Hair", "POW", etc) See youtube; there's a video on "How To Play...".
Alain Caron "Slam The Clown", etc)?

Dave Larue had a couple of his Bass Player Woodshed columns devoted to this subject. Pretty sure he would be a good source, too.

Anyway-
Here's one from Oteil Burbridge's 1st solo album-
"Subterranea" (Bass Player had some of this transcribed in an issue awhile ago).

In any event, you can always come up with your own...& then re-invent those by putting the Thumps, Pops & Slaps in different places.

Are there any recordings of Dave Larue using the technique or the only source is the bass player magazine??? The magazines aren`t cheap in south america

Check the instruction section of the BG forum. IIRC, there's some stuff there.

Another suggestion that won't cost ya a dime: practice drum rudiments on the bass! (Dead notes, in both left and right hand.)

I am very interested in Alain caron work in this style, I wonder if his lines are all so crazy ala Slam the clown, it is too odd for my style of playing...
That of Oteil is very cool, I love Louis Johnson style and those larry graham bass lines fit that old school style I like...Mark King is another one I am considering to study..
I want to know if I can find Dave Larue bass lines from other source than Bass Player Magazine.

M_F_L...

Dave Larue has some nice stuff with the Dixie Dregs...Hub City Kid was his solo disc; I'm not listening to so much Fusion anymore so it's been awhile since I've checked either one out.
Larue also has an Instructional DVD...I have never seen it.

I would say Caron's other slap/pop stuff is in the same league as "Slam The Clown".
