The Lemonheads: Buy this album!

I rarely get this excited about a CD, but I've been listening to the new Lemonheads album almost constantly. OK, I know.. Evan Dando. Forget what you think about him.. this is the most invigorating rock album I've heard in at least 10 years. Every song is great, and there's some excellent bass playing, mostly from Karl Alvarez of Descendents & ALL, also from a guy named Josh Lattanzi. Nothing flashy, just song-perfect parts that I wish I'd written. There's even some inspired bass from Dando on one song. Bill Stevenson from Descendents & ALL played drums, co-produced the album and wrote two of the songs. Between that and Karl playing bass, there's a definite ALL-esque feel throughout.
This CD will brighten your day and creep into your brain. Go get it, now.

I like it also. Good songs, Bill and Karl are why I bought it.

Josh Lattanzi is a former Bostonian and a great guy, great player. He has is own band called the Candles and I think they are opening for the Lemonheads on some dates.

It's no "Hate Your Friends," though.

Wow, three-plus years of no replies, and then four in one day!
This CD still lives in my car. Good times.
