Lets hear some covers!

Sign in to disble this ad
I think its about time we should hear eachother's playing

Doesn't matter what kind of music it is.

Can be bedroom solo-with-backing-track or complete band covers.

Remember, this is not a competition, so as always on Talkbass, keep it clean and in good spirit.

So no matter how good or bad you are, lets be hearing you!

My rather awful covers:

Limp Bizkit - My Way

Enter Shikari - Juggernauts

My band does some covers as well as some originals. Here's a link to the last time we played out. | The Music & Art of Ryan Ruiz Not the best, but definitely not the worst. We've been playing about 3 months together. Your covers weren't bad at all, either!

A quick go at Suck My Kiss while I had the laptop to hand, although it isn't the best by all means.

Here is a link to few samples of me playing bass on some cover songs and a few originals - and I'm working on all new tunes now.

Hey Joe, off topic. How is Santa Rosa these days? I lived in Rohnert Park, Cotati, Sebastopol. I worked in Santa Rosa, selling auto parts close to where Petaluma Hill Rd meets Santa Rosa blvd. I also worked selling guitars & amps at Zone Music in Cotati. I used to play at The Phoenix Theater in Petaluma, The Inn of the beginning (or something like that) The Last Day Saloon and played a couple events for 101.7 The Fox.... good times.

Things are good but changing. For example, Zone Music is no more (Frank moved out) and “Loud and Clear” music replaced it - and it’s smaller now (used gear - like old zone was) but Blair still has Zone Recording there. Randy Teaford (from the Inn Of The Beginning) is chef engineer at Mystic Theatre now, and the old Inn Of The Beginning has new owners and a new name again. The Last Day Saloon - Ex “Fun House“ “Planet“ etc is still here and going good. The FOX (ex KVRE) is gone and replaced with bumble gum music. If you want - send me a PM with your name and etc - we could know a lot of the same people - it’s a small world. Cheers and have a great week.

SLAM!

Audio quality is kind of "meh", but you get the picture.

I just did some Dr. Mario music the other day on a couple different instruments and posted it on Youtube today: ‪Dr Mario - "Chill" - Uke, Banjo, Mandolin, 3 Basses‬‏ - YouTube

It's not really well done and there are some time issues that make me crazy, but there it is.
