Not wanting to split hairs, but Craig Macgregor (bassist in the photo) wasn't the bassist on Fool For The City. Producer Nick Jameson handled bass for this track, so I'm guessing we're still looking for the answer to the bass and the rig. For my money, the two albums that Jameson did with Foghat were their best.

I had no idea, I haven't broken out the vinyl in a while. Still great tone on Foghat live, Is that Craig?
